FROM SCIENCE TO REAL-LIFE ONCOLOGY

  

The ECCO 2018 European Cancer Summit, was held on 7-9 September 2018 in Vienna, Austria bringing worldwide leaders from the cancer healthcare, patient advocacy and stakeholder communities together in a unique multidisciplinary forum.

Improving the measurement of quality cancer care, addressing financial discrimination endured by cancer survivors and better integrating primary care to improve cancer care were three major themes of the ECCO 2018 European Cancer Summit resolutions.

ECCO Essential Requirements for Quality Cancer Care


The quality of cancer care matters. It is multidisciplinarity that ensures such teamwork occurs. ECCO is currently developing a series of charters that advocates for improvements in patient care, entitled ‘The Essential Requirements for Quality Cancer Care’.
